I'm quite happy with the Earth's gravity as it is...but some pessimist friends and I were wondering just what would happen if the Earth's gravity suddenly fell by say 10% tonight, or even tomorrow?

Would it be cataclysmic?

Would we hardly notice any difference (apart from being able to hit a golf ball much further)?

Would it be somewhere in between?

Or is there a safe maximum or minimum for gravity to drop, above which we are all doomed?
