Is it dangerous to hold a sneeze in?
« on: 23 January, 2018, 01:43:39 PM »

I know it's practically impossible to hold a decent sized sneeze in - but is it dangerous?   My mother always told me that I'd blow my eardrums to smithereens if I tried. But is that true?  What are the risks involved in holding a really big sneeze in?

I'd heard it *can* trigger a heart attack in those vulnerable to such a thing - but not seen it written anywhere medical.

I've 'heard' it *can* make your eyes fall out too. Has anyone evidence that holding a sneeze in can cause a heart attack - or any other problem?
