What is this painting? And what are they doing?
« on: 10 September, 2017, 10:14:09 PM »

Help! This has really got me stumped. 100% mystified. I came across this pic by accident when I was actually googling for an update on what the Eurhythmics band have been doing lately. It has nothing to do with the Eurhythmics. Or does it?

It looks medieval to me and although that's a period I've studied in quite some depth for years I can't figure out who the artist is. Worse still, I haven't a clue as to what they are up to in the painting.

Can anyone explain it to me? Or come up with some theories? What are they doing in that painting?
