What's the average depth of the world's oceans?
« on: 02 July, 2016, 04:14:02 PM »
This question came up yesterday after a particularly liquid Friday night dinner. From what little I remember some people said "About a hundred feet" while others slurred "More like a thousand feet. Probably even more". Nothing got resolved.

Has anyone ever worked out the average depth of the world's oceans?
