I'm looking for a writing website that shows the different styles of authors. Shakespeare, Dickens, JK Rowling etc all are different. If a modern writer wanted to write in a similar style how could that be achieved?

Off the top of my head there's not a site (that I know of) that does what you want but there is a site called "I write like" where you can paste in one of your own literary gems and it'll instantly analyse it for you and tell you which particular author your own style most closely resembles.

It's an interesting site. And It'll keep you amused Cosmos while you wait for another IA'er to chip in with a better and more useful answer to your very interesting question. (I'll be interested to read their answers too.)

For what it's worth, when I tried "I write like" it told me I write just like Kurt Vonnegut! Like Kurt Vonnegut? THE Kurt Vonnegut?? Huh??? Welcome to the monkey house!

PS. You'll find the "I write like" website on https://iwl.me/
