Why is there such a wide variation....
« on: 18 March, 2016, 12:49:51 PM »
..... in the mentality of people, of mostly similar ethnic and cultural backgrounds in two cities such as Chicago USA and Birmingham UK?

Triggered by a news report of the fourth killing by shooting in Birmingham in the past 6 months - whereas in Chicago with one day to go there have been 7 homicides by shooting THIS WEEK alone and 128 so far this year.![http://heyjackass.com/]

It couldnt be anything to do with firearms laws - could it?

It's everything to do with gun laws. The US gives everyone the right to bear arms whereas we in Britain have this old fashioned idea of making it really difficult or illegal for people to bear arms.

Result?

In Britain we have as many gun deaths in a year as America experiences every 24 hours. And that's not the worst part. Americans seem to think that this state of affairs is perfectly natural.  FPlm
