When I saw this question I guessed  there must be some people living in caves in China and thought I would find stories of terrible poverty and hardship.

It seems that most of these people - 30,000 of them! - are living in caves by choice.

Some caves even have electricity and running water.

A basic one-bedroom cave without plumbing rents for about $30 a month. A cave with three bedrooms and a bathroom might sell for $46,000, the Times reported.

I suppose more the more Westernised people wouldn't want to live in a cave but it seems to suit many people.

30,000 of them? That'd be impressive enough but it is, according to your link Mrs Too, an astounding 30 million Chines living in caves. Equal to half the population of Britain!

I wonder if the Chinese government has come up with a Cave Bedroom Tax yet? Or Right To Buy Schemes?

Never mind, Mrs Too.
It makes a really refreshing change for me to be correcting someone else for a change!
