How does IA's ranking system work?
« on: 30 December, 2013, 11:19:04 AM »
I've just noticed that I've been bumped up to Chancellor...but I've no idea whether to clap madly or be confused. I'm not at all besotted by rankings but how far up the totem pole are Chancellors? What's top dog?

Forgive me if someone has already asked this question before but I gave up searching for a previous post...Attention Deficiency set in...so can anyone help me as I grope my way towards finding out what all the various IA ranking levels mean?

A little list with short explanatory texts would be perfect!

Hang on, hang on! Hang on just a minute there!

I have just done some fine-toothed-comb checking through the stats...Today's P-Kasso2 has now reached the exalted position of Chancellor and has notched up a staggering 5,222 posts (5,223 with this new one. Phew.).

But but but (and here's the rub)....

P-Kasso2 only came into being on the 9th of July 2011 because A.I's lovely computer suddenly stopped letting me as the original good ol' P-Kasso (ie P-K Mark 1 that was) log in so I had to rename myself...hence the 2 in P-Kasso2.

Prior to being so dramatically black-balled in the summer of two years ago the dear old original P-Kasso (Mark 1 model) had already racked up a very respectable 1,604 posts...and I make 5,222 posts (P-K2) + 1,604 posts (P-K Mark 1) = 6,826 posts!

So shouldn't I really be a University Councillor? I politely demand a recount!

I don't mind though...I've never been hung up on rankings and anyway I think that 'Chancellor' sounds so much better than 'University Councillor'.

From your list of rankings list Duff, P-K mark 1 was already a Leonardo da Vinci.

So can I be a Chancellor and Bar or something?

Got to dash. Next stop is Saville Row to get measured up for my new gown.

.

"Your count has been upped" as the head gardener said to the Countess.

Many thanks...I really didn't expect it. But many thanks!
