Title: What is the best pre-pay credit card?
Post by: Duffield1 on 12 March, 2009, 10:02:37 AM
A few years ago, I chopped up all my credit cards as I was spending way too much on them, and the interest rates were terrible.  However, there are times when a credit, rather than a debit, card is an advantage, so I'd quite like to get a pre-pay one.  Looking around, most seem to charge quite high fees for their use (and I really want it for emergency use only) - which is the best one to get?  A cost per transaction is not too much of a problem, as I won't use it very often at all, but I don't want to pay a monthly fee for what is effectively an emergency-only card.

I have a Sun Pre Paid card i think it charges something like 1.50 when you use it but if your going to use it in emergencies or very rarely then i don't really think it matters, I would shop around and see which one has the best sign up promotion when i signed up for the Sun one they offered me a free 5 when i put on my first 10 and for the first 6 months the charge would be 10p not sure what they are running at the moment but yeah i would go for the Sun Card.

I've got a titanium cash plus card for online shopping, that way you can't get scammed to badly.
