Title: What is it about the Yellow Pages that makes it (them?) un-recyclable?

As the internet spreads I assume they'll become defunct eventually anyway, but they thrust them on people and then you can't get rid of 'em.

my local council take yellow pages and when we last had ours delivered the council sent a note to all houses reminding us to recycle them with our cardboard
