That's reassuring Siasl... just to get rid of fur-balls! So simple. I reckon you are right because my cat seems to spend about 8 hours a day licking its fur...he's bound to get fur-balls because he is seriously hygiene heavy and very natty. He's about the only cat I have ever seen with a centre parting.
Mind you, the couple of times when I've seen him having a fur-ball crisis, his honking hacking coughing fits are really distressing to witness. So I am glad to now know that grass is the natural cure! Next time he's honking up the soles of his paws I'll just whip him up a quick grass tagine instead of reading him the last rites.
